Did anyone catch the song reference from the title? No, no one, come on guys and gals. Well any who London is the capital and most populous city of England and the United Kingdom. Standing on the River Thames in the south east of the island of Great Britain, London has been a major settlement for two millennia. It was founded by the Romans, who named it Londinium. London's ancient core, the City of London, largely retains its 1.12-square-mile medieval boundaries. Since at least the 19th century, "London" has also referred to the metropolis around this core, historically split between Middlesex, Essex, Surrey, Kent and Hertfordshire, which today largely makes up Greater London, a region governed by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly.

Changing of the Guard You Say....
Buckingham Palace is definitely a place in which everyone can consider visiting, not just for the scenery, but for the Changing of the Guard ceremony. The Guard is changed every thirty minutes during the summer (April 1 to Sep 30) and every hour during the winter (Oct 1 to Mar 31). During the hours the cemetery is closed, the guard is changed every 2 hours. The Tomb is guarded, and has been guarded, every minute of every day since 1937. See the New Guard exchange duty with the Old Guard in the famous Changing the Guard ceremony outside Buckingham Palace. Changing the Guard, also known as Guard Mounting, takes place outside Buckingham Palace from 10:45 am and lasts around 45 minutes, with the actual handover taking place at 11am. It is something to see and a historical even to be seen as well. Click the link below for more information.
